President’s Message

Welcome to the North Carolina Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association (N4CSGA) website. The N4CSGA is a student-led organization that represents over 710,000 students across the 58 community colleges here in North Carolina. We want to ensure that students in the community colleges have a voice & are heard.

Our goal is to foster an environment that encourages students to voice concerns, issues, ideas, & solutions to the appropriate administrative & governing bodies for the betterment of the community college student body. We hope that as you read through the information provided, that you will be able to gain insight to the overall goals and mission of this organization, and to learn that you can make a difference within the community college system.

As a student-led organization, the executive board is composed of student leaders representing the 58 Community Colleges elected by their peers. We are excited about the roles, the possibilities that are ahead, and working to assist our fellow students.

Change is something that can be quite scary at first but change leads to greater opportunities. Albert Einstein once said, “The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”

This year, we are focused on ending the stigma placed on community colleges, and becoming the change needed to better our community college system.

Goals:

  • Civic engagement
  • Transform lives
  • Student advocacy
  • Enhance the operation of the N4CSGA to ensure that students are getting the most out of conferences, division meetings, and collaboration.
  • To be available to all community college students and their needs
  • Host workshops to educate and empower students

As President of the N4CSGA, I know that the executive board will make it our personal goal to ensure that these goals are met. I would like to once again, welcome and thank you for visiting this website.

Respectfully
